The FA
Youth Development Road Shows
Changing the face of youth football was always going to be a contentious issue. The FA needed to communicate directly with the wider football community across the country, giving them the opportunity to understand the proposed changes and offer feedback.
The FA commissioned TMG to design and deliver a series of sixteen consultation road shows that would give them a platform to introduce and discuss these new ideas.
Working to a limited budget The Media Group delivered an effective solution. Our media department was tasked with capturing the nation’s opinions of the subject on film. From kids and coaches to chief execs and professional managers, we provided a series of seven films that showed a complete cross section of the football community. We designed a brand concept that would convey the messages and give a relevant, soft and approachable theme to the events.
Our events team pulled this together to provide a nationwide series of road shows and media launches, providing AV support and advice throughout the programme. Working with football heavyweights Gareth Southgate and Sir Trevor Brooking each event offered a genuine chance for The FA to share ideas with their audience and explain the reasoning behind their new ideas.
