Design trend predictions for 2013
Thursday, 7 February 2013
We asked our creative team what they think will be the major trends in design for 2013. Graphic Designer Rachael Boothby reports back.
For many designers the word ‘trend’ is a fear inducing term which invokes images of blind reproduction of whatever is ‘in vogue’ at the time. As designers we embrace creative flair and independent thought, therefore following the crowd can sometimes seem quite scary.
However it is important to acknowledge trends as clients often want to be up to speed with popular culture. So having an understanding of what’s up and coming for the following year will only improve the chances of success. Bearing this in mind, here are my predicted design trends for 2013:

Looking back and ahead
Friday, 14 December 2012
TMG’s senior graphic designer Ally Booker reflects on a year of design projects.
December is often a time of reflection within design. As our clients take a well-deserved break (and us soon too) we start to look back at what we’ve achieved over the past 12 months.
In this Olympic year, it’s fair to say sport has been a focus for our clients. From creating a new brand for the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust through to producing collateral for the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s Game of Life project, our challenge has been to keep on producing unique and exciting high level designs within the sport sector.

Say hello to our new designer
Friday, 2 November 2012
TMG has strengthened our creative team with a new graphic designer, Anna Sangha.
Anna graduated in Graphic Design from the Lincoln School of Art and Design and joins TMG from a London design agency.
Anna likes Motown music, and is scared of the dark, so we ‘promise’ not to turn all the lights off to see what happens.
Welcome to the team!
